At Ken Accounting, you know what you will pay before we do any work. We start with a free consultation, agree a fixed fee for the work you need, and stick to it. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices.
Sole traders
If you are self-employed, most of what we do for you centres on your self assessment tax return. From April 2026, many sole traders with income over £50,000 also need to keep digital records and send quarterly updates under Making Tax Digital.
Your fee depends mainly on:
- how many income sources you have (for example, self-employment plus a job, rental income or investments)
- how your records are kept, and whether you want us to do the bookkeeping
- whether you need Making Tax Digital quarterly updates filed for you
[TODO: Gaurav to decide whether to publish “from £” prices; if yes, supply the sole trader package price and what it includes]
Limited companies
For a limited company, we prepare the year-end accounts for Companies House, the corporation tax return for HMRC and, usually, the directors’ personal tax returns. See our limited company accounts service for the full picture.
Your fee depends mainly on:
- your turnover and the number of transactions each year
- whether you are VAT registered and need VAT returns
- whether you run payroll, and for how many people
- the state of your records, and whether you use cloud software such as Xero
[TODO: Gaurav to decide whether to publish “from £” prices; if yes, supply the limited company package price and what it includes]
Landlords
Landlords need to report rental income on a self assessment return, and from April 2026 many must also follow Making Tax Digital rules. Our landlord and property tax service covers both.
Your fee depends mainly on:
- how many properties you own, and whether you own them alone, jointly or through a company
- whether you need help with records, MTD quarterly updates or both
- whether you are selling a property and need advice on capital gains tax
[TODO: Gaurav to decide whether to publish “from £” prices; if yes, supply the landlord package price and what it includes]
Add-on services
Some clients need more than the core package. We can quote a fixed fee for any of these, on their own or alongside your main service:
- Bookkeeping, monthly or quarterly
- VAT registration and returns
- Payroll, RTI submissions and auto-enrolment pensions
- Xero set-up and training
- Company formation
- ATOL reporting for travel businesses
- UK business set-up for founders from India and Asia
[TODO: Gaurav to supply add-on prices if publishing prices]
What’s included
Whatever you need, every fixed fee includes:
- A free initial consultation to understand your situation
- A written quote agreed before work starts
- Deadline reminders, so you are never caught out by HMRC or Companies House
- Answers to your questions by phone or email, from people who know your affairs
- The choice of meeting face to face in Uxbridge or working by phone, email and video
If your needs change during the year, for example you register for VAT or take on staff, we will talk to you and agree any change to the fee before doing the extra work.
[TODO: Gaurav to confirm what is included as standard (e.g. number of meetings, HMRC correspondence, payment terms such as monthly direct debit)]
